CORRECT TOES®

Designed by Dr. Ray McClanahan, DPM, Correct Toes help the foot rehabilitate from the negative effects of conventionally shaped footwear.

Made of soft, flexible silicone, Correct Toes encourage the toes back into their natural alignment found at birth.

With progressive and consistent use while active and weight bearing, toes align and feet strengthen, restoring your foot’s original position and function.

Why I recommend Correct Toes to clients seeking to improve their balance, circulation, proprioception and foot flexibility, as well as reducing pain and aggravation to knees, hips and lower back.

You Were Born With Perfect Feet

Babies’ feet are designed to provide balance and stability. With a broad sole and splayed toes, feet form our foundation.

In our society, foot shape and function change as we age. As feet are exposed to conventional footwear, toes compress and curl.

Rigid footwear and arch support diminish muscle activation and toe range of motion, causing weakness and atrophy in the foot.

With the long-term use of restrictive footwear, our once dexterous and mobile toes lose their ability to move independently.

In cultures around the world who remain barefoot or minimally shod, toes maintain natural shape and splay, and foot and toe strength and dexterity is preserved through adulthood and into old age.

Choose Your Size

Everyone’s feet are different and when it comes to your toes, there is even more variation in length, width, distance between them, flexibility and direction.

In some cases you may need to go up or down, depending on your unique feet.

If you are between sizes or still not sure which size is right for you, use the printable template to determine which size Correct Toes to choose.

Before printing, please note that this document is 8.5 inches x 11 inches. Select “actual size” before printing.

Bunions, Hammertoes & Modifications

Each foot has it’s own unique adaptations to your movements, footwear and lifestyle.

Maybe you have a pronounced bunion on your left foot and a hammertoe on your right foot.

If you have a bunion and want to encourage the realignment of the big toe, you may need to consider adding a shim.

For Hammertoes, you can modify each Correct Toe following the instructions on the Modifications Chart.

Correct Toes can be modified to best fit and align your toes, improving function depending on your specific foot needs.

Download the Modifications Guide for instructions on how to modify your Correct Toes.

Please Note: Anyone with diabetes or diminished sensation in the feet should avoid using Correct Toes.

Also, anyone with diminished circulation (peripheral arterial disease or “PAD”) should not use Correct Toes.
